Wow, glad you and your family are safe.
I can completely sympathize with what you are going through.
We went through very much the same thing this past summer here in Colorado.
It took weeks to get the smell of smoke out of the house.
Hopefully your fire will be out soon.

I will find out in a few hours but from what reports I've had, we should have even avoided any smoke damage. It was a matter of, if the wind changed in our direction, the whole town was looking at being a small footnote in history.

We basically live in the bush and the state environmental department WILL NOT let us cut down the trees at our backyard. So if the fire reaches us we can't even have a clear buffer. Hopefully this will allow us to push harder to get the law changed - Ha !

It was a bit mad though and we got the important things packed - clothes and computers !! Once I get back home, just have to unpack and set back up. 15 minutes to pack, 2 hours to unpack

Ya it was the same here, it was all save the beautiful forest before the fire.
Now after the fire, a loss of 346 homes and over 18,000 acres they finely realize there is a better way to do things.
It’s a shame it takes a huge slap of reality to get some folks to wake up.

Yikes! Sounds like you both went through quite a lot. Glad to hear both of you made it through okay (except for the smoke in your case VR, that sounds like a pain).

Can you all imagine how strong can be our thoughts targetting something or someone at the same time and at the same sinthony, as we are doing with Loose Ether and his problems?
We have an incredible and unknown power with our minds working together!

I am home now and as I'd hoped the town and everyone's houses all remain and minimal smoke smell in our house. The fire didn't get closer than about 4 kilometres but because our town is surrounded by forest and in a direction the wind was apt to change to, it was thought best to evacuate.

So the only hardship was having to throw stuff in the car and find somewhere to stay for a few days and of course the idea of losing everything you own including the house.

All good and nothing was stolen from the property.

Just so you are aware, am a huge fan of GPL, and am looking forward to having, basically, the same thing in my second fav sim...GTL.

BTW, that is a great presentation you put together (above)!

Things have slowed done a bit as I am now studying and am focusing on helping Borek get his F1 Legends Racing mod out the door. It is first off the rank followed by this 67 conversion - all things being equal.

Physics still have to be completed for a few car groups and I have to fix the Ferrari gauges - they are pretty horrid at the moment. By this I mean the actual mesh/material part.
I don't know how to alter the mesh and my skills in 3DSimEd are basic.

I am like you, I couldn't get enough of GPL and wet myself when I found out about the rFactor 67 mod and all I wanted was to get the GPL cars into my current favourite sim....GTL !

BTW I reserve the right to tease you all as often as I can !

It did take me a while to piece together the screenshot, so.........thank you Mr Icon Man !!

I was thinking about doing a small video to let everybody know that the conversion IS going to happen and not been forgotten and I was going to use THAT track !

The 67 conversion wont be released until after the F1LR mod is done.
Once I can get back to the conversion, there are some things that still need addressing which I will be working my arse off to complete. I want this out there as much, if not more than you guys......

I just thought, great 67 F1 cars belong to a traditional 67-track.
