Just wondering if this little gem might be of interest to anyone. Right now its just a mesh. I have not even attempted to get it into the game yet. I am going to give it a shot though. I may need help if anyone is interested.

For a notorious flop of a race car it's still pretty cool, and any addition to the classic sports racing roster is always welcome. Maybe we can find out how successful it could be if it was capable of actually finishing a race.

I just read that there is one being raced in historic races in Europe and it is cleaning up. Seems it only took 5 decades to work out all of the bugs. Even back in the day when they couldn't complete a race, they were wicked fast and that is apparently still true today. Powered by quite possibly the greatest racing motor the world has ever seen.

Yep, shame they hadn't figured out the dark arts of aerodynamics just yet.

Yes that truly was a shame and many great drivers paid for that mistake with their lives. Very sad.

I remember that AC model. I converted it 4 years ago, and made a proper P68 out of it. It has both 1968 "standard" version and 1969 version with the "Can-Am" style wing used in its last race at Brands Hatch. All correct liveries that were used were made too.
If you finish your conversion, I might share my skins.

This is my first attempt at building a car from scratch. Does anyone know of a tutorial that I could use to help me out. I understand how to do everything except for the .cas file. That is presently giving me fits. Thanks!!!

Generally when doing a car I use a pre-existing cas file as a template and change the names. I guess the first question is have you already broken the model down into the components recognized by the game? If you have then you can essentially take another cas file and just change the references. The second is does the car have multiple lod levels? If it does that adds a little complexity.

Braddw25 : Unfortunately, I do not know how to help you, but I am hoping that you will be able to resolve your doubts, and be able to carry out this work. I've been waiting for years for someone to make this car for the GTL or GTR2. I've seen many promises, but the Ford P68, despite a beautiful car, is still missing. Whenever there is progress, please send news. I'm sure I'm not the only one who comes here every day looking for new information. Thanks.
Note: In early February of last year, I made this post, on another website, requesting this car, either in the original 1968 coupe version or in the 1969 spyder version. https://undergroundmotors.forumotion.com/t1729-ford-prototipo-p68-and-p69-1967-1968

Two models of the Ford P68 in the 500 KM of Brands Hatch of 1969. The traditional number 58 piloted by D. Hulme and F. Gadner and the evolution of this, also called the P69 that would be piloted by J. Brabham and M. Gregory, but not started.

Didn't they put windows in the sides of the P69 so the driver could see out?

Hello partner. Can you tell me if there is anything new to see about this car? Or if unfortunately, once again an attempt to create the Ford P68 was aborted? I am very grateful for any information, because as I already mentioned it is one of the most beautiful racing cars I have ever known. If this project goes ahead, is there any possibility of being extended to GTR2?
