Is our most usefull site to put our Mods, folders, tracks, etc, and it's very easy to share them with anyone of us, at any time you want. And the subscription is for free, to anyone!

Great improvements! And yes, trees often have wrong bias and transparency values on many tracks.

Started to setup the scenery in Blender for baking ambient occlusion this weekend....

great work, look forward to the completed version.
Here is a link to a short video of its conversion into RF2, i have done quite a bit of work so far, but lots left to do.

Hi,

the asphalt looked still a bit booring to me, so I've indrodued some mesh based skids (no AIW race groove, this still has to come later) ....

Also included some more objects to the Blender scenery for bakemapping (AKA: faked shadows), mainly trees and bushes ... but there are still a lot of missing, it's not done yet ...

Great work on the added skidmarks which are always a nice touch when done right. And the bake map really makes the grass areas come alive. Also very nice to see new material values for all the trees which now are "calm" and not constantly flickering like in the original track.

The trick with the trees is something I've discovered with Race07 tracks.
Tey put a copy of trees with multi tansparency at same place like the singe-trans trees.
So you won't get in troible with z-buffer overflow but win the nice rendering of mutlt-trans.

Ah, I see. Usually one can improve the appearance of trees a lot and get rid of any flickering by just optimizing the material bias value but I agree that it's even better if all trees also can use the multi transparency option for a nicer level of detail.

I've started to build invisible collwalls around the rails the last nights...
It's a nightmare due to the amount of polygons but since it's public holiday today I'm looking forward to finish them today.

The complex geometry of the rails and it collision normals causes the problems when hitting the rails:

Now the collwalls will have clear/simple geometry and normals hopefully this will solve the issue:
