I have noticed a lot of GTL videos posted on you tube; how does one do that ?
I have searched in the game files , poked around but havent the foggiest idea how to do it, any help/ pointers will be highly appreciated.

Start the game, load the replay. Then use FRAPS or other capturing program...that's it.

Just one tip: if possible, use an SSD as data-space for recording the video. As FRAPS is unable, to compress the video while recording (a run around Nordschleife can generate a video-size of around 80 GB due to uncompressed size and at a Framerate of 60 Hz - at least with my native resolution of 2560x1600) and game is using a lot of resources as well when generating the screen.

I had some sort of a "meltdown" of my data-raid of WD-harddiscs and always massive framerate-issues, if there is a lots of details at the screen (though those recordings were from very detailed pCars-scenery) Since using an additional SSD just for those temporary files, the framerate stays stable and no more issues!

After recording, you should compress this FRAPS-video down to a size, YT can handle (though it is theoretically possible, to upload the genuine FRAPS-vid as well - but it takes a day or so with a 16000 Mb/s download-lines upload-slot...) U can use the shi**y movie maker for this.

A good video format with fairly nice details is 1920*1080p at 50000kbit resolution. The smaller sizes will be generated by YT automatically.
