I am glad you took up the project again Speedster. For the not so young amongst us we remember the Alfa 1600 Super as a well respected and feared competitor in the early sixties saloon car races battling it out with Jaguars,Mercedes and the new BMW 1800 TISA.I witnessed some pretty spectacular races featuring these cars back then. Call it the pre Afa GTA and Lotus Cortina era.

I hope it will also be possible to include a version with the standard looking alloy/steel wheels (see the alfa Guilia 1300/1600 sprint).

Anyway, no hurry take all the time you think necessary and we know the result will be worth the wait as usual.

Done a few laps by now and thoroughly enjoyed it. These are genuine Alfas alright !

Would anyone be interested in creating an early sixties (say '62/'63) style 1300Ti/1600 Super?
My idea of it would be: Plain bodyshell finished in one colour (eg Alfa White/red/dark blue/darkish green),No decalls except maybe a few modest period ones, and numbers stuck right on the doors and maybe the hood and boot aswell although roundels were used too. Some cars had stripes on hood or sometimes from "bow to stern" but more didn't have any striping.

Would be great if one of the talented painters would feel the urge..... cheers
