[Request] Donnybrooke track for GTL

Both rFactor and GTR2 have that track but not GTL:( I know that it isn't maybe that popular among players but it's really nice and would be good to have it in IMSA cup. I'd appreciate it very much if somebody could convert this track for GTL.

GTR2 to GTL track tutorial......

Just tried this and got it converted in about 10 minutes. Just copy Barcelona.gtr & BarceloneMap.gtr to the Shared or Donnybrooke folder. Also, I noticed in both versions you can't race more than 5 laps, just need to change the "RaceLaps =" entry in the gdb file.

Just found my error - I deleted one bracket too many in TRK file. Now it works fine. Once again many thanks for link to this tutorial.

Since GTR2 loading screens are so awful, I made a new one for this track:



If you like it, just save it as Donn_LOD.jpg and copy to Donnybrooke_Road folder.

Hi zoobear, sent a pm. Looks like the issue is number of cars.........Maybe there is a GTR2 to GTL tweak we have to figure out, but there are just some tracks in GTL & GTR2 that just wont run with a lot of cars, mostly older starting content....., leastwise, I haven't figured it out................, yet........

so far, completed 12 lapper with 20 cars, no problems.......

Thanks JS for your reply. I haven't tested your version yet but I can't play on this track even with 15 cars:( And I got CTD everytime I try to race on it. And I'm using only mid settings. Don't have a clue what might be wrong:/

EDIT:
I remember reading somewhere that pit spacing may be a reason for CTD's without any errors in trace file. And I have all these CTD's when in practice session after about 5 to 15 minutes. Maybe this is an issue here?


BTW, I made a new LOD (didn't like that previous one):

Try it with 3 cars or less to start, just to see if it will run at all. I had one track, a converted rFactor track or something that would not run more than 6 or 7 cars, no matter the settings.........The pit spacing will take some checking out......., Nice LOD!

I did two tests today with your track. First with only 5 cars - no problems. Then with 10 cars - CTD after about 15 minutes in practice session. This is really strange:/

Thank you very much for your version. However, I tested it couple of times (didn't play, just accelerate time and watching in monitor), and as before I get CTD in practice session after 5-15 minutes.

p.s.
You forgot to change race laps - it's limited to 3 laps only.
