Stock steel wheels for the 2002 based on the Anglia stock wheels by Zee. Since I couldn't find any good picture to make a realistic texture, I modified the DDS from the Anglia to make it look more like a BMW rim...



A bit of work has been done on the dashboard today. Now the car has working fuel and water temp gauges. It took about all of today to make it, half of it being dedicated to calibrate the water temp gauge. Now it works well, I can go to bed ! Goodnight everybody !

Sorry for not answering earlier, I was not home for the last two weeks (vacation time here). Therefore I've not worked on the mod for those two weeks... The mod is still going on, but not very fast, I've been busy with other things before to go on vacation. I'll try to spend a bit more time in the near future (I'm still not home now but I have at least a computer and an internet connection).

Whew! Was looking so very good, I WAS worried...

Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to this mod's finish. Doesn't mean hurry up...take all the time you feel necessary to get it 'right'!

Among the last things I've done, working on the cockpit's textures. The car being an early model (no lateral protection, no rubber strip on the bumpers until '71) I've changed the dials to first gen ones. I have also changed the wipers. The new ones are the originals from R07.





Since the car is a 68-71 model, it will be a 120hp 2002ti, the 130hp tii being introduced in '71. I've modified the engine and gearbox files to give the car its stock performance. needless to say, it's rather slow on straights but fares better than many more powerful cars on twisty roads. The car is equipped with a Getrag 232 (available before '71) and has now four speeds and three different final drive ratios. I'll also include files for a Getrag 242 (after '71) and a 5-speed 235 in three different configurations...

Working on a RHD version of the car for our friends who drive on the wrong side of the road...

Only for foreigners, he he!!!       

You guys who drive LHD cars are not so good at drive by shootings unless your left handed... and when you see American movies with car chases it's very rare to see the driver shoot someone in the other car as they are wrong handed!!... A good reason why car chases in the UK don't last as long.  

Edit:-   Also the Pirates have their sword in their right hand so you can't drive properly like that in a LHD car... now please be realistic on this!

And there is a higher proportion of left-handed people in the UK than in many other european countries  

Let's make a world movement to have all the cars, like McLaren F1 was, with the driver in the middle position. We can call it  CHD: central hand drive.
All our problems would be solved!!     

Just have single seater cars then you don't have the mother in-law as a back seat driver!!!!!

We have a law that says all drivers have to be able to use a sword or gun in their right hand!  

Using a sword in a car is not that convenient, whether in the left or in the right hand... Try it by yourself and tell me how it worked. You may (or may not) need to remove the mother in law from the back seat before to proceed.
