sound problem after converting

I converted some cars from GTR2 / Power & Glory v1.2 to the current version of PnG (v2.1).
I managed to get the cars in game and can drive them.
However, I have not been able to get the engine sounds in this new version ...
Anyone knows how to solve this ?

i think you need the soundfiles from GTR2.... which P&G used

but the sounds worked fine in PnG v1.2, they just don't work in PnG v2.1 ....

Try opening the .aud file with wordpad and checking the path where it's looking for the sounds...(in the new version of P&G the sound folder will not have the "Cars" reference)

For example
VS_INSIDE_COAST_ENGINE_1=Cars\914_idle.wav (this is GTR2)

This version of P&G has it's own sound folder the older version used GTR2's.

You may need to copy your sounds from GTR2 to the P&G sound folder this is the easiest way.
Find out in your cars .aud folder where the sounds in GTR2 are, if it's in "Cars" as above,copy the cars folder from inside your GTR2 sounds folder and paste into your P&G sounds folder.
