| I have this circuit Croft 07 & on it are two strategically placed yellow oil drums with Dunlop on them, the trouble is you can drive through them is it possible to make them animated so that if you give them glancing blow they will bounce out of the way and roll about would be much more realistic.
Calling all you track experts any chance of a fix or is it a major overhaul.
I am running in GTR2

| Hi philrob could you confirm which version of Croft 07 you are using, my barrel lines are different
Instance=barrel001 { VisGroups=(32) MeshFile=barrel001.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False } Instance=barrel002 { VisGroups=(32) MeshFile=barrel002.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False
Do you mean change these to yours in your croft07 barrels text, I tried that the AI moved the barrels but when I hit them I went through them did I do something wrong?
its probably easier for you to get a working .trk file and upload that

your listing above seems the same as mine was, i then changed it to
} Instance=signybarrel001 { Moveable=True VisGroups=(32) MeshFile=signybarrel001.gmt CollTarget=True HATTarget=False ShadowCaster=(Static,Solid,32,32) } Instance=signybarrel002 { Moveable=True VisGroups=(32) MeshFile=signybarrel002.gmt CollTarget=True HATTarget=False ShadowCaster=(Static,Solid,32,32) }
you must overwrite your barrel lines with what i provided, perhaps make a copy of your TRK file before altering it.
the 2 included GMTs are named the same as my txt, so they are called instead of the original 2. | |

| Hi philrob ok re downloaded the track and installed it then followed your instructions to the letter above this is what happens. I hit the barrel head on it flys away but leaves the original barrel in place when you look in the mirror and its still there on the next lap any ideas. | |

| fatguts, have you tried deleting the croft HAT file ?
or you copied my barrel text into the trk file but did not overwrite or delete the original barrel text | |

| I have v1.3 and am getting this before and after, what version are you speaking of?  MY MISTAKE, I forgot to remove the original barrel text from the .trk file, different name..........works great now!  | |

| when the last version of RF1 was introduced a new parameter was added to give mass and inertia to loose objects, wheather this works in GTR2 i am not sure.
this gives the barrel more mass and inertia I added these settings to the Croft07 GDB file, try it and see what you think.
I placed the complete line below, under pitboard location in the GDB
SIGN = ( 600.0, 160, 100, 160, 150000, 3000, 1.0 )

| you can also REMOVE this statement from the new barrel line if you want to see the barrels roll in mirror
VisGroups=(32)
just added the barrels to RF1 and they are much heavier when you hit them, with the new INERTIA/MASS entry in GDB still not sure in GTR2. | |
