Someone was working on a SimBin 300 roadster with a top stuck on it. But I think it's dead. Not very acurate anyway. I'd say go ahead

As JohnAdder mentined above, the modified SL-roadster obviously is abandoned, so it would be great, if you continue with your project.

There was a project here http://www.racingfr.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=30083 but I think the guy resigned and asked Butch to finish it but he has many cars running at the moment and the 300 SL is not a priority I think. I think yours is better by far.

This version of the 300SL was/is the street version. I don't think Mercedes Benz ever raced them, but thats not to say we don't want race skins, cause we do, desperately.

I would also love to see the 1952 - 1954 racing version http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z13403/Mercedes-Benz-300-SL-W194.aspx but obviously that would need a model made from scratch probably.

This car was the best GT of the post war era untill Ferrari built the 250GT and after the dramatic "Le Mans" accident Mercedes decided to stop all racing activities but the car could have evolved to be a contender of the Ferraris ,we had to wait for the Cobras to have some interest in GT races. This car is a "Must" in GT Legend.

Agree, but only in SLR version, since the small block of the street version is not powerful enough...And GTL is, first of all, a race sim.

Eary W.I.P. sceenies, remember, its still early so it will be a long time before its ready, and I'm gonna focus my attention on the 510. This is keeping me busy in my spare time for now.

That looks so good, I just can hardly contain myself. Can I have a plain white one (metallic white if you can) with the FIA race number thingy - any number but 722 would be awesome.
