[WIP] Porsche 908 LH coupe

well, I have such imagination: the Porsche 908 car add-on could inlcude various skins
* skins based on real 908K  and LH car
* skins based on real 907K and LH car
* skins based on the bigger 908 Brother - on the 1969 917L car version
* skins based on 917K and L car  (1970 and later)

I personaly would be happy for 907 physics (2l 8cyl), 908 physics (3l 8 cyl) and 917 (4.5l 12cyl) with current sounds, but it depends not on me

yesterday I did a different blue-green skin. it is based bit more on the 917, applied on our 908 add on. to paint it better I could re uv-map some mesh parts, but is just about our 908 car

ok, here is bit reworked paint of #3 (yeah, again) and a brand new #10, which is based on 1969 917LH by John Woolfe Racing team. this car got front winglets

btw, I was talking with deep-strike I would be happy for three physics (907, 908, 917) and it seems we really will try it!

well, here is my favorite car, it is 907LH and aside the different nose you can maybe notice the car is lover body height. its based on NEChris comment at F1C site  and I have same feeling, it looks much better now.

Leave it low...looks better. Any capable modder can adjust the ride height anyway. Car looks great!

well, the car body will be more higher positioned then it present the previous #66 and today ingame screenshots. this way also we can avoid of visual issues when steering wheels could go through the car body

ok, here are new screenshots, this time without any image editor filter usage. its the Le Mans track by Virtua_LM when dusk, testing our cars with working lights

note: the camera angle field of view bit deforms the actual car lookout

true tre, as DarkSide said, it is a Fuji track made by Virtua_LM. it isnt the "right" track for such cars, but it is graphically well made. thats why my screenshots are made from few tracks only

the Porsche 908 belongs to our small LE MANS CLASSICS (LMC) project, together with the Ford GT40 Mk. IV (Ford Mark IV) and Ferrari 330 P4.

the Porsche 908 car add-on should be released as standalone mod. it is enhanced now with Porsche 907 and Porsche 917, the working title is LE MANS CLASSICS: Porsche Longtail 1967-1969.

the common visual overhaul events are about new wheels, new interirors and some additional car body details + new skins + new physics (by deep-strike) + some fitable sounds

and, as usualy, all this is made with permissions, to be releasable at some another racesim sites too

It's always good to see talent at work and man you have it    I like where your going with this.
Now if we could bring GTL to the 64 bit world , it would be over the top. maybe someday

Thanks BoreckS, I was thinking that the P4 might have been outgunned, but they can be fast against those two at "tighter" courses.... the MKIV & 908 could have some interesting encounters at places like Spa67, Lemans67, etc,......Thanks for all your work & time, it is sincerely appreciated!!!.....

well, I personally am not a any great racesim driver, also my G25 wheel is placed ages in a dark corner, web covered... I am focused on the gxf and file structure related parts, which means usually I am taking screenshots when AI drives all the cars. I dont remember who did catch who, infact   

ok, the main physics is done and needs lot of testing first by our test driver crew... but maybe deep-strike could tell you more about such ingame car "fights"
