Looks really great JD, and I agree with MOF that the 914-6 (although quite a bit of extra work for you) would be a grand addition.

The 6 will come but it deserves wider rear flares, like those on the left side of the picture.

Kinda figured it wouldn't be just as simple as an engine swap...

But am pleased you're considering it, and, seemingly, already hard at work on it.

Hi, I think I have a mod where i'm blazed with several people, some Porsche 914 with it. Could I as your roll bar or roll cage in my Porsche 914 install?

Any chance of giving the Caterham from Simbin this same treatment for some E and F Prod Lotus Super 7's? Like a full cage, some 13" minilite's and flyaway fenders?

I almost secured the drivetrain intact from a 914 2.0 Unfortunately, I couldn't secure the $600 fast enough to claim it...it was written off in an accident and taken to a friend's shop but he had faster offers with money in-hand so he had to let it go I wanted to put it in to my '71 Super Beetle I had at the time

Such a sad story hmmguy... it would have transformed your Beetle into a flying Beetle, but never mind m8, maybe you weren't born to fly!

From what I gather GTR2 does not support pop up headlights. I was able to accomplish this by making a genstring entry for the two different light assemblies. Should I keep this or scrap the idea?

I like the pop-ups. For all the work you put into them I say keep them.

To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't go to the trouble of altering a genstring just to get the headlights to show. Should the option be there, I'd activate the genstring, making all the pop-ups always 'popped up'. But the option really ought to be there for those hard-core simmers.

I don't suppose there is a genstring option possible for driving\road lights that can be made to work? That way, the lights are always there; just activate the headlight in the sim. No need for pop-ups.

Just some thoughts...
