VW Beetle 1302 S

Finally released this amazing version of this icon. The cars are very, very well done, and they are a real blast to drive, with engines arriving at 270 HP. Amazing Mod.

Hello, I took a look at the Götting beetle and reworked it a bit so that it comes closer to the original.
I have changed the following things:

- Interior changed from red to white (you can see it in the interior and exterior view)
- Windshield wipers mirrored and added to the interior (the windshield wipers on the original car are the same)
- Removed the exterior mirror on the right

Simply add this vehicle to the folder of your "Volkswagen_1302".

ATTENTION!!!

The original version contained in the mod will be overwritten, so save the original files if necessary.
This car has its own style (Genstring 1 and 4 each independently) so that only this one car looks like this and no other cars could also be modified.

What I would still like to see are the front wheels of the Porsche 911 RSR #81 (original GT-Legends car) on the Götting Beetle all around.
I think that comes very close to the original, if you look at pictures of the original car.
Would be very nice if someone would take care of this.

Just ran the car in game on replay to me it seems oversized I like it but don't love it and so I wont resize it maybe someone else may like to have a look at it. Good mod though thank you.

Easiest way to check if the car has the right size is to put in the correct/exact front/rear wheel track and wheelbase data in the .hdc file. Like:

FrontWheelTrack=1.379
RearWheelTrack=1.352
LeftWheelBase=2.420
RightWheelBase=2.420

Then have a look in game on the track how it looks and if everything fits.

FrontWheelTrack=1.379
RearWheelTrack=1.352
LeftWheelBase=2.420
RightWheelBase=2.420

RearWheelTrack=0.0
LeftWheelBase=2.450
RightWheelBase=2.450


The other data is not correct, at 2,420 the wheelbase is no longer correct

I have them sized and placed, I just need to check that they work.

I've checked it myself by applying the real life wheel track and wheel base and you're right, the car is a bit too big





So it should be rescaled to the correct size (but I won't do it either).

I didn't build the model either, I just made it the way the original "Götting"-1302 looked.
The model comes from the "Altbierbude" and we are lucky that this vehicle made it to completion at all, because the original team split up before it was finished.

Here are the wheels. I had an issue getting the car in game. I had to edit the classes line in the mod.

RSR wheels for the Volkswagen 1302 for GT Legends

These are the Avon wheels from the 911 RSR that comes with GT Legends.

To install:

Extract the folder to a place of your choice.

Put the files in the folder of the VW 1302 that you want.

Change the 2nd digit of the Genstring to 7.

Could you make me another style where the front wheels are also at the rear, i.e. without the wide rear wheels?
That's how it would have been on the original car.
