The tail seems to high and perhaps still a little long. You might also want to check the air intakes on the rear fenders, there are a couple of variations in shape and position between 250P, 275P and 330P.

JD m8, to be honest I think the whole car looks a bit long compared to the photo, so maybe you could shorten the whole lot and see what it looks like...

And God created the heaven and the earth in 6 days and on the 7th day he uploaded---come on----no need to stack the 12 Labours of Hercules on top of what JD's doing.

Are you able to raise the height of the windscreen to the same height as the Targa roll over bar?

Finding proper specs on the 250p 275p and 330p has been difficult--apparently the 275p and 330p did have a longer wheelbase corroborated by photo evidence primarily---so what JD has produced in it's latest incarnation is a reasonable facsimile of the 275p 330p models.

Frankly model perfection is nice if your building from scratch but unrealistic I think if your modifying what someone else has done. I could be wrong as I'm not a modeler.

I already have all 3 running in GTR2 using the 250LM as a base for my physics.

It's really easy to do on 3DSim ED just to have a look actually bill, even I can manage that and I'm old and decrepit!

Sorry Gordon----I just don't want JD to feel compelled to satisfy all requests---Of course I would like perfection but I'm sure we all will be grateful for what he's doing.

It's an interesting situation, because on Ferrari's website they quote the same wheelbase for the 250P, 275P and 330P (2400mm) - however, given that the cars would have had limited production runs and probably would have been adjusted based on the feedback from earlier cars, it is not inconceivable that some of the later cars in the production run could have had different wheelbases.

In the case of the 250P and 275P, the idea that those two cars might have had the same wheelbase is not inconceivable to me - I believe that the 275P was effectively a 250P with the engine bored out from 73mm to 77mm, so there probably was not that much of a difference between the two (and it would explain how Ferrari could upgrade the 250P to 275P spec so quickly).

Yes Ultimatecarpage gives the same wheelbase for all 3 but I suspect they just duplicated info from 250P.

Can you hear me blind baby? I made the front a little shorter also, I think I might try to stop there since another model might be on the horizon. I hope it's not on the event horizon since that would be the end of modeling as we know it. Excuse my response, since I have consumed a few brewskies tonight!!

PS: It's a good thing I looked at my post since I forget the 'consumed" at first.

For what it is worth, here are the specs for those same cars on Ferrari's own website:

It may be that some sites have simply copied and pasted that information but, given Ferrari's resources were quite limited in the early 1960's, designing and building an entirely new car within a year seems unlikely.

However, I could see them managing to tweak an existing car within that timeframe, as boring out an existing engine and slightly modifying the bodywork of an existing car would be relatively straightforward by comparison. It was, effectively, the route that Ferrari had to go down with the 250 LM, where they bored out the existing 3 litre engine from the 250 GTO to 3.3 litres after it was refused homologation as a GT car and reclassified in the prototype class.

I still have to work on the wheel arches.

Now only about 10hours of detail stuff.
