GameFront file deletions...

Just so everyone knows, GameFront will delete any file that goes longer than 60 days without a download. Has been that way for a couple months or more.

So, another way of saying it, if 60 days has passed since a file was last downloaded, it's gone.

downloading my own files sounds stupid, might work, but would be a bore

I'am already using sendspace in some cases, no need to register
and if files are deleted also with other upload sites, then it's just as well...

in fact, I did notice that requests to reupload gone links are frequent and repeated...
glad someone is usually there to help out!

Mediafire gives a better service than gamefront. I have files stored in there since several years ago (not only modding stuff) and they never deleted a single one. They have another cool feature: if you have a free account you can download a file directly to your account, and download it later to your computer. They also let you see the number of downloads per file, set passwords to your files, mark files as private... It's very nice.

Like Soze has claimed... MediaFire is really good.

I also like very much of Mediafire, but as an alternative when needed, RapidShare is not bad!
BTW: I liked very much the "uncle Gordon", said by our "young nephew" Rickoshea, a man who is thousands miles younger than me and Gee!!! Hehehehe!!
But, how old is Rickoshea?? More than 20 years younger than Gee and me, maybe?? Hehehehe!!!

Every cyberlocker is under the scrutiny of those criminals. However, the files we host in there are our files, not movies, not episodes or songs, just modding stuff. We are the authors here.

If they erase our files we'll have to upload them to another site, as usual. But that can happen wherever we upload them so we shouldn't let them spook us.
