well, I didnt too much visible changes sofar, just working on the file structure and genstring logic. but at least now the car is drivable ingame. first GTL ingame screenshots attached.

Nice BorekS, who else beside tsf2 did this car? I've had it for well over a year now; it really flies.

On the screenshots it looks as if it were a completely different new Mod.

well, here is something new from my kitchen, a new scratch made stuff started. a possible rival for the GT40 Mk.IV: the red devil 330 P4.

first blood: low and higher poly mesh image attached.
it isnt super accurate shape, just a test. I dont promise anything, I am not hurry with the P4 model

Looks great, but have 1 question: since you're doing stuff from scratch, how about doing the 330 P3 ?? Overall, the body is the same with the 330 P4, but there're some differences, like the rims, the design of the rear end etc. Was thinking of this because there're quite some games already with the 330 P4 available (Forza, Test Drive Ferrari, Gran Turismo etc), and we can take them from those games, but there's no 250/275 P, 330 P2 or 330 P3 yet in any game ! Or how about Dino 206 S, to compete with the Porsche 906 ? It's just an ideea, in the end it's only your choice, of course.

well, the slowly started P4 work in progress should be just the 1967 Le Mans competitor to the Marco F. Ford GT40 Mk. IV model. the main plan is to release the GT40 model with new front and rear winglet mesh, lights and with new interior for virtual cockpit. it would be nice to finish the work at same time frame like the F1LR mod, which was 6 moths after first announcement.

but to have a complete Ferrari 330 series mod would be... great! if you know some nice page, where is the list of the 330 cars to see the main shape differences, post me a PM, please.

Overall, looks pretty much like the P4, but it's somehow different tho: look at the shape of the headlights, for ex - bulkier.

ok, I did something like a first mesh test ingame. the emap doesnt produce strange polygon artefacts it seesm on the low polygoal nose intake surface... I was affraid of this because of not ideal made polygons. but I think I can leave it as it is now and continue to model the rest of car... in future
I will not model every hole in the carbody, it could be made with paint, spec and bump maps.

looking the P3 the front lights seems are bigger, similar to my earlier mesh tests. much visible difference is the front hood "bubble". this ia easy to do fo the P3. but any direct image / scheme comparation would be really handy.

The front of the Ferrari looks very good.   
Carry on that way.   

I'm a little confused. This thread is about at least two W.I.P.s, right? A Ford GT40 MK IV (the original subject of the thread), and a Ferrari 330-P3? Neither completed?

Not denigrating, just trying to figure out what is completed and\or what is being modded...  

agree, this thread started as a single car project and so it should be, so ok, here is the stage and strategy:

the GT40 Mk IV model is official allowed for conversion now. the external should obtain new front and rear winglets and few new light related objects. the virtual cockpit should be created newly. thats the plan.
I collected a hill of pictures to know what to create or paint into new textures now.
the physics is deep-strikes hands
I use physics and sounds from Marcos LM600 mod, the V8 7litre version sofar, by milleniumfreak and Thinlane T.

the Ferrari 330 P4 is my old dream and nightmare together. I started to create the car few times in past, but never finished it. its not primary objective mod creation, but like many another moders, I am not doing one thing only... when I need relax, then the another creation is my relax

with some already official released stuff made be our team there is a relative big chance something could be released in future again

ok, some first shots of the GT40 external body (re)work. the original rear winglets and lights, and the new stuff work in progress (yellow toned mesh).
