hi guys,

here are 30 skins that i did. I need help to do the BIK's and ICON's.
If someone could make them ill upload the whole pack here@ evolution modding.

MG has my congratulations! Actually, nowadays, he is the more present guy here at Evolution, and he has worked a lot to our enjoyment!

gege46, please provide the common physics and graphics files (you know... .HDC, .GRB, .TYR, .ENG, CPIT.GTL) for DB4, Lola, Camaro 69, Barracuda !!!
Otherwise, I won't be able to help with those !

REPORT:

#100, #24, #121 Mustangs don't work !

#100 Mustang doesn't show at all, while the other 2 CTD the game when I try to race them !

EDIT:

Idea #121 Mustang worked after I got rid of the physics files inside the folder (121)

Idea Same problem with #80 Shelby GT350 !!! It worked only after I've deleted the CAS file inside the folder (80)

TBH, gege46 is waaaaaaay crazier than me ! I mean I'll do some BIKs, but he already finished like 30 skins for 15 different cars ! To do 30 skins for 15 different cars means a lot more work than to do the BIKs for those cars ! Let's say that spending time to do these BIKs it's some sort of appreciation for guys like gege46, guys who invest a lot of time and work (not to mention the knowlegde) to do mods, then share them with us, this way keeping GTL alive as much as possible !

I've been on community forums about simbin's games for about 6 months or so and now I understand that when this game will pass away to let other newer games to take it's place it will be (and not only this one, other games from simbin and also other sims of this type) remembered for their community that, I believe, take this game not only as what it is in fact: a game... but in a different way, much deeper. I hope my message has a point which could be understood. If I'm off topic please delete my message.

I don't get it DS, we should move on to something new OR we should try keeping this alive as much as possible ?!? I vote for the latter !
I play GTL because the whole game it's about cars from the past (more than 30 years) and not just an add-on (pack) to some modern cars game (like Shift) etc etc. Some of us (or many), like me for example, haven't got the pleasure just to see most of these live. Many of them were already "history" by the time I was even born, so a game like this is a form of contact with something from other era (in this case cars from the '60s and '70s) ! Plus, the game still looks at least decent, in some ways even better than games post 2009 ! Just look at the (front) lights of the GTL cars and then at those cars for Race 07 from Retro Pack and you'll see what I'm talking about. The lights look waaaaaay more realistic on 2005 GTL than 2011 Race 07 Retro Pack !

I mean that when this game will be finally gone (a moment, I hope, very distant from now) gamers will remember if especially for it's great community of people who, let me say, loved the game so much that they've spent a lot of their personal free time with what some call a "game". And I think it is much more than just a game.

Yeah, I got it now and you're right ! Can't tell how much time I've spent on GTL, but from 2006 'til now... its' for sure some hundreds of hours !!! Plus, yeah, for many (men) the car is just another object, (PC) gaming it's just waste of time (and life) etc !

The retro pack has messed up handling on many cars also which is a shame as Race 07 has normally great ffb and feel. Oh well, myself, I agree as GTL is the cars I dream of and newer cars basically bore me for the most part. It's a sad era when all Ferraris have automatic transmissions along with traction and stability control, and even sadder BACKUP SENSORS!! Hahahahaaa!!

ok i know there are some problems with these cars then i will try to find them and give you all the files you need Smile

When i bought GT Legends i had already saw the cars from the game. I was so excited when, 1 or 2 years later, i found that we can add cars skins and mods! i'm working on my GTL for 3 years now. i'm 19 and i had to find everything by myself on internet. My first attempt was to creat the cars of the spa 6 hours 2009 race and a great spa track so i can live the race whenever i want. Then i start to make all these skins Smile

Sooo,
MG i need to know what's written on your trace file when it CTD.It will help me to know wich file is missing Smile
i'm using GTL2008 now so maybe it's the problem.
About the #121 mustang, it has a GT option from nogrip with the new physics.
#80: I lost myself i little bit when i started to add 3d models, the only way i found to add them was to modify the cas file..

#100: i put a new bodystyle with side exhaust, new bumpers too..

honestly i don't know why it doesn't show up in the game Sad it works on my gtl..

Thanks for the skins, gege, but I also spent an hour or so to fix them. For example the names of the cars differ from the default names (Ford Shelby 350GT <--> Shelby GT350 etc.), Mustang #121 is way faster even than a Shelby GT350. The icons and biks are a little messed up, but MG42 is already attending to that.
Anywaym I really like when I get not a simple skin, but some different bodyshape or wheels.

mmh yeah i like details Very Happy i've forgotten to say that i changed some car names because they weren't complete. I think its more realistic but it's easy to replace by the original names...
The mustang is faster because the shelby doesn't have a GT option.
am i the only one who think the original shelby and mustang are too slow? Smile

Gege, you have to clean this pack a little ! As dragob said, the skins are a little bit messed up !
IMO, you should DELETE all the files (images, readmes etc etc) that don't have anything to do with the skins. If you want to keep and release them with the pack, very well, place them on a "special" folder ! Then, I also recommend deleting all the ICONS ! They do not represent the skins and they do nothing else than just to confuse (more), believe me !


BTW, do not send me any files for the DB4 GT, found the mod on my PC and that BIK it's done !

Here's a new .CAR line for the Aston Martin DB4 GT mod. It changes the smoke position coming from the exhaust pipes. Guess nobody raced DB4s anymore in the last years Laughing , 'cause this mod is like 3 years old but nobody fixed this all this time !

You're welcome ! Glad you liked them !

BTW, if you want to make this skin pack really great, I think you should ask MOF and/or Soze to do static BIKs too ! I've noticed some fans prefer static BIKs because of the size, so you can bet some guys will really enjoy an alternative to my BIKs !
