Nothing much to report at the moment. I've been distracted with other stuff while waiting for the mapped 3d and physics to make their way to my PC. I'll contact Dave and Lasse respectively and see what's happening...

Actually since i messed with the mesh its got better proportions than I have  The Tiger's in game but the problem is that the main body uses 4 (I think) separate dds's so you can't make extra cars easily.  If anyone wants to sort the mapping it wouldn't be hard to get it released...

In the past, sunalp2 (Frank), made one, reasonable, but unfinished.

Theoretically Zee, the four materials could be assigned to BODY1, BODY2, WINDOWS & CPIT01.

I realize this is not the traditional route to take, but it is a 'way out of the woods' so to speak.

Problems that arise from this scenario is, you can't have variable window and cockpit selections for individual cars.

The 250P is not too different from the 275P and 330P...wink, wink...

Zee sent me the file, and it does need a lot of work. It's a pretty cool car as is. I already changed a bunch of stuff like all of the textures were bmp instead of dds but that is only the beginning. We shall see.

Thank the heavens (or where ever we thank) for talented guys working together for the good of mank... well, us really.

Cleaning up the cockpit. The car has a future but it requires some help that I can not do. The body as it stands now is painted by about 5 different dds files. Such as a hood, bonnet, doors etc. I can get the hole body into a single gmt but it would have to be mapped and a template created to make it proper. If anyone wants to volunteer, speak up. Otherwise I won't spend a whole lot  of time on it but to improve some areas of the car.  A single skin Tiger would still be better than no Tiger.  

PS: I got this car from Zee and I have no idea where it originated. If somebody is pissed that it has appeared, let the board know. I do not want to mod somebodies work without their approval.

Who the heck would do such thing?! I can see only 1 logical reason: probably the car was built for an older game (maybe like NFS Porsche from 2000), that couldn't support properly textures of the size 1024x1024, just like GTL having problems if the textures are at least 2048x2048, but at the same time wanted to keep the maximum quality possible. Mapping the entire body to a 512x512 texture = bad looking car if it sports decals = the decals would be too pixelated. So, yeah, to keep a minimum quality, it's a great idea indeed to map certain parts that usually sport decals (like doors, bonnet, trunk lid and front fenders) to separate textures. If it wasn't like this... then, dunno. Looking at the car it seems that the person who built it knew what was doing, so cannot think of poor modding.

Could have promise, sure would like to make a try at the factory racecar that my friend Dave replicated with his Tiger build. Which by the way started as a pile of rusty and peforated Tiger metal from central Ohio.

I can have a try at making simple templates for each DDS file JD. I'm working on skins for the CAN-AM mod and some of those have up to or more than 10 x DDS files!!!!

I have these files from some time ago, and there is I believe a one-piece body. I have also added a left hand drive that is working. If you could use some of this let me know and also how I can get the files to you.

It's from the 'Weekenders' mod which was based on rFactor if i remember correctly I tried to contact the original authors a long time ago but didn't hear anything..

Done on this car for awhile. Got to finish some other projects first!
