Tuesday November 28th, 1972

Went with my friend from high school (still friends after all these years).
10 rows back center stage. There was a light show behind the band.
They promoted The Magician's Birthday album, the whole damn thing. Amazing concert.
Loved it, was high on LSD, and happy that I got to see them live.

I'm soooo jealous I didn't really discover them until later in the 70's when I overheard "sunrise" and just had to ask who it was. Despite the major line up changes after the original band disintegrated I think they managed to stay true to their ethos.

Sad so many of these greats are disappearing as the years pass, I wonder if many of today's headliners will still be revered in the same way in 30-40 years.

Slowing things down a bit, A Judy Garland Cover. Wink

Eva Cassidy had the voice of an angel and was never really recognised for her talent until after she sadly died of a brain tumor at the all too early age of 33 in November 1996.

So many fantastic songs to choose from so a bit of a curve ball....
