Testing went fine. No additional bugs found - except that the 910/8 has no sound.

It's been a long time I saw the 910 but it looks very much improved GOOD

Oh for the sound to work you need the LMC mod. Glad you didn't find any further issues Razz

For the Dino with roof, I think it's only about making some of the upper part of the side window polygons into roof instead of window. For the Spyder, it would be enough to just cut the same part off from the windows. It would also be really nice with an edge to the upper part of the side windows in cockpit view, similar to how Borek have done it with his 330 Spyder Ferraris. As it is now, one can hardly tell there's even a window present when driving the Dino. Shouldn't be too hard for a skillful modeler like you! Very Happy

This was a bit tricky not gonna lie, but the result is worth it:
1967 World Sportscar Championship Mod - Page 3 Grab_316
(new - left, old - right)

While im at it, I will revamp the looks of the Dino one more time. Add chrome trim around the windows (with textures), reduce the saturation on the skins a bit, some other stuff I come up with along the way Very Happy

I noticed another thing bothering me about the Dino and thats its visage. Been remodelling the headlights to the best of my abilities this evening, its taking all of my scarse brain power but its starting to look like a Dino finally... Also fixed the see through wheel arches which were visible from the back through the grille. Im still not happy with how the mesh looks but hey i didnt make the model and i gave my best to improve it.

Awesome! I think the Dino will be my new favourite drive and I can't wait to take on those pesky 906s! Or as this gentleman below calls them, "cheese domes", haha.

Not a World Sportscar Championship race, but nevertheless interesting:

Rothman's 1967 Surfers Paradise 12 Hour:

Ah regarding those pesky 906s (i dont like them either Evil or Very Mad) i finished that car too. Zexer sent me the skins by FF94. I had to fix the headlights material and make a dirtscreen and tweak the physics, it turned out very well.

For the Dino i still have to make the wheels a bit smaller, do the interior for the closed cockpit and do the lights/windows/cockpit for the spyder. A lot of work ahead but after that i will probably upload the progress on those 5 cars (250LM, Dino, Alfa, 906 and 910).

I actually like the 906 very much but since it often crushed the Dino on track, it's an interesting underdog scenario to try and beat them! As for the 906 physics, I think the P&G 3.2 version is really good and only needed some minor tweaks if I recall correctly.

After watching the Knutstorp video above, I wanted to test the Dino around that track myself and then noticed that the side windows actually are visible and the reason that they weren't at Sebring (where I first tested the car) must be related to the track's lighting values. So no need to do anything with that although a 3D edge on the upper part of the window would still be nice for the Spyder in cockpit view.

A real issue though is that the dashboard looks very flat when the light is hitting it from behind which would be great if it can be improved. I much rather would take a static lighting compared to how it is now.

Thanks for the Primotipo link! I have actually been planning to include that race for my 1967 non-championship races so that article comes very handy.

Oh no worries on the cockpit, i was a 100% gonna remodel that, especially the dashboard (entirely).

As for the 906 physics, thats exactly what i did. Took the P&G 906 physics, reduced the grip a little, stiffened the springs a bit and now it performs realistic laptimes. But i dont know what it is about that car its just off putting to me.. I like the 910 very much but the 906... Dunno its weird Laughing

Finally finished the Dino and im so done with it... Took me way too long to bring it up to standard but im satisfied with the result. Its not perfect but its at least good enough for the mod.

I shortened the "snout" to what it should be:

Redid the cockpit:

NPanic,

Amazing! I am impressed with how quick you've done this. Maybe you can talk to BorekS and he'll let you work on the Alpines, Lola and Chappy.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to am old sim (I'm old too).

Thanks people..

Well at first i was thinking of doing this in Assetto Corsa but figured, i would never get anything completed and there is a severe lack of HQ models needed for AC.

Still GTR2 kicks ass, even today, as long as you dont care about fancy graphics too much its all fine Very Happy

And i will ask BorekS about a collab very soon, might need some more help with the mod in the future anyways.. Its all easy at the moment while being in quarantine, aside from a bit of studying and exercising, this is the only thing i can do basically Very Happy

And the upload is delayed for tomorrow due to some more testing needed.

The second update, added 3 cars: 250LM thanks to Zexer and MG, 906 and Lotus 47 thanks to FF94 and Zexer. Changes were also made to all the other cars.

IMPORTANT: if you already downloaded the first upload delete the WSCC1967 folder in the teams direction before installing this update!!

@ NPanic: first of all, thank you very, very much for so nice work, beeing very kind of you to share this with us.
Second of all: I noted that in this last and final release, in Alfa Romeo T33, has no more the options to Shiny clean, Less shiny clean, and Dirty Look, as we have in pre-release Mod as an good option. And I'm asking you so: - which option we have in game now?
-If necessary, can I use the old files to choose how paint I want?
Thanks in advance for your answer, and waiting anxiously. Cheers! cheers Thanks GOOD I Am Not Worthy wheelchair

Great work on the cars overall but especially awesome for the Dino! And great to see Borek's Lola as well! A real surprise was the Lotus 47 but I assume you didn't know there's a much better looking model already available for the game.

http://www.evolution-modding.net/t1887-lotus-europa

Would be great if you could adopt your updated cockpit to it as it hasn't any.

Also, the long folder names for the cars is a big no-no as it will often cause severe issues after loading a saved race. I recommend using the usual 67001DA system instead to avoid that.

Well yes you can change these with the clean ones from the standalone Alfa T33 mod if you wish so.

Im still on the fence on whether to make all of the cars in the mod clean or dirty, some are clean atm some are not...
