The only version i ever saw was an RF1 track, which needs a fair bit of work to make it GTL/GTR2 material.Done by Chrisrx Surfers 1984. I still have this track if you would like it.

Thanks Phil - don't have RF1 installed atm and I'm not able to do any modding. Difficult to search the net with NG and others gone.
Only thing I found is a GPL version over here: http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=7203

Jeano, great video, i think the GPL version looks better than the RF1 BTB version i have here. If you like i will attempt to convert it to GTL/GTR2 ? i wont add or remove anything (usually i would). give me a couple of days and i will PM you. regards phil

Thanks Phil - didn't expect that offer - would be highly appreciated.
Take all the time you need
Tried GPL years ago over at https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?board=48.0 (where still several GPL championships are organized), but I definitely failed

Jeano, just a update on the track, running in GTR2 now.It doesnt look quite as bad as i thought. Had to change some textures/materials etc The usual conversion problems remain to be fixed safety car, alpha groove, skyboxi, lods . Will report back when further progress is made.

Phil, a quick rF1 conversion aswell would be nice.
And a quick tutorial on converting from GPL wouldn't hurt. I wanted to convert Norisring 1972 and a few other tracks for myself a while back, but while it loaded on track, a lot of objects were misplaced at 0,0,0 coordinates, most of the tarmac wasn't solid and it simply wouldn't work as a functioning track.

Zexer, GPL conversions were always hard work, i did many and none of them were 100% missing faces, duplicate faces(1000s of them) non working AIW the list goes on. The main instruction for conversion was written by Dave Noonan, here is the link: http://sim-garage.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/GPL-to-rFactor-track-conversion-tutorial.pdf
This version of Surfers is based on the original RF1 release, as stated in 1st post and if needed by anyone i will upload it and post a link. phil

At last i have finished this great track, many more problems than expected.I have to thank my friend BillBro for his work and assistance on this track especially fixing the AIW. The readme has details of 2 alternative AIW files.

Zexer, this was an RF1 track, but i made a lot of changes to improve the feeling and looks. I doubt i will have time to rework the RF1 version, but you can take all the new objects from mine and add them to the original if you wish, no problem from my point of view. http://tt.servegame.com:100/?search=Surfers+Paradise+International+Raceway

Hi, Phil! Nice job, as usual! But, maybe, do you intend to give to us a GTL version, please? Thanks for your answer in advance.

Thanks Phil! Should the HAT be deleted to make use of your improvements?

Phil, yes always a good idea to delete HAT when so many changes made to track/grass etc

Thanks Philrob & Billbro - well done. Works perfect in GTR2/P&G
Works also in GTL with dark skies and one little graphical issue, if you download and unpack this into your GameData/Locations/Shared folder (make a backup of the "shared" folder first):
