Hud language gone french.

Like a fool i've installed some mods, race on shared folder & tracks without checking whats inside, and now my hud is french any clues how to get it back to the Queens english, or what i can look for?? Sad

May just be the car you've selected to drive, I get that with one of the old Ferraris. That being the case you have two options:

1. choose a different car
2. learn French !

Yahoo its fixed.
I have GAZMAN over at No Grip to thank for his time & effort in findin out the problem.
I sent him the links to the 2 mods i recently installed & he went through them & found it was an LM Classic mod which had altered the STEX.GTR file.
So i popped in one from a clean install and..
mon HUD est de retour à l'anglais.

Sorry for an 8yr old thread bump but this is gold! bounce

I searched online for a good couple hours trying to figure this out. It was indeed a virgin stex.gtr file that worked. 3 from other installs didn't work. Only the virgin first timer fixed this issue. I never found anything till I lucked into "Hud language gone French GTR2" as a Google search that this link turned up. Dunno why the others didn't work as they displayed English before so I don't actually know why only the brand spankin' new, never been used version worked. scratch

all mine went to german, when I installed one of the renault alpines and it also messed up my gtl version of the IOM track, I can understand german so I dident bother and subsequently I managed to get IOM again via a new reinstall.
But how does one go back to english ?

turns out its a file called MOTECHUD.DDS in the Stex.gtr file

In GTL the file is called DIALHUD.DDS

Maybe someone could help me! In Power&Glory I choose for portuguese, available in this game. My question is: can I put some file from P&G in my GTL, to have everything in portuguese?

I think you need the file motechud.dds and any other file changed by a language mod. You have to check every file carefully. I never did this.
