Good Morning All,
I've been trying to populate the SCCA Production classes and one of the cars is missing a
WC_HELMET file. I have searched many texture files in many installs and am coming up
empty. Have any of you seen this file, or am I chasing a phantom?, Thank You, js

Any chance this is connected with "wchelmet.dds" in Renault4cv mod by captTROY?

Hi Joe,

WC_Helmet is not actually a file but the name of the material in a file. This will then have the name of the helmet needed for you to continue.

Problem is it could be any helmet that is named in the file and of many cars, so without any more info it's almost impossible to guess which one it is.

What car is it for?

1.. If you have 3DSimEd and can use it, then drop a '#CAR' file into it and when it shows press 'E'

2... Now a window will show and you should scroll down the alphabetical titles until you come to WC_HELMET

3... double click on it or press 'EDIT' to open it up and see what the first texture is... it's probably DRIVER_HELMET.DDS if it is then this is a link to that file, if not let me know what the name is and I will see if I can help you further.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen!  It's for the the #7 Tony DeLorenzo 1965 L88 Vette from P&G. The A Production class is thin, so this would fit nicely with a minor wheel upgrade. I'm going to try your tips as it looks as I have been tracking down needed data the wrong way....I'll let you know what I find and learn!!!

Well I did learn a better way to search for textures, I was using geditor lol! . I took another look and noticed genstrings were
different from earlier PG, put it back to stock and everything is working. Thank you for the help!! I've got 10 months of backed up cars, mods, tracks, etc to get to installing...
